XBM is Celebrating 10 Years As Sandal Rugby Union FC Sponsor
Founded in Wakefield in 2008, XBM Limited has deep roots in the local community and a 10 year partnership with the Sandal Rugby Union Football Club that includes sponsorship and family involvement at both committee and junior player levels.
Over that time XBM has sponsored the club’s 1st XV team, the 2nd XV team, the inaugural Ladies team, the junior teams, the scoreboard, and pitch boards.
As a supplier of more sustainable technology to businesses, charities, not-for-profits, and the public sector, XBM also provides the club’s office print solution.
Sandal RUFC is almost 100 years old and was born on the 6th August 1927, and have come a long way from playing on the area known as the “Tetley Field” and using a beer store of the original Walnut Public House as its changing rooms.
They won the Yorkshire Shield in 1932/33 by beating Scarborough at Bridlington by 13-6. Then in 1933/34, Sandal, despite being only six years old, sprang the surprise of the season by reaching the final of the Yorkshire Cup. Since the early seventies Sandal RUFC has managed one of the most successful Mini and Junior Sections in the North of England and has produced some very talented players for the Club’s premier side
