Global Warming Set To Break Crucial 1.5C Limit

Global Warming Set to Break Crucial 1.5C Limit for first time before 2027.

Scientists have updated their forecasts and now say we are more likely than not going to see temperatures break the much talked about 1.5C limit between now and 2027.

This is catastrophic news for low-lying nations fearful of rising sea levels and would also see further extreme and unpredictable weather occurrences around the globe.

This is predominantly due to our failure to address the emission of greenhouse gasses that have risen dramatically over the last two centuries, and although these will start as peak occurrences, the direction of travel is higher average global temperatures as a constant.

With the repeated failure of governments around the globe to take action, responsibility has fallen to individuals and businesses to make their own changes to lower their carbon footprint and push for a circular economy.

One such business is Epson, who have exited the laser print market due the high use of resources in manufacturing and the heat and emissions generated during use. Epson’s business inkjet technology is Heat-Free, as it does not have a fuser to heat up like laser printers. This can result in an energy consumption reduction of up to 83% compared to laser devices in the same class
